Welcome to Preston Photo Studio. This site is intended for photographers interested in hiring the studio and its facilities. If you have arrived here searching for a photographer or photographic services please re-direct to www.gem-images.co.uk.
The studio is located at Oyston Mill, adjacent to the Preston Docks development in the heart of Lancashire, and is available for hire at very reasonable rates.
There are 8 shooting areas:-
- 2 are wallpapered,
- 3 are painted brick,
- 2 are painted wallboards,
- white infinity curve,
- black.
Facilities include:- 6 Bowens flash heads
- soft-boxes,
- brollies,
- snoots
- barn doors
- reflectors
Sets, backgrounds and floor coverings are changed regularly. Large props include- a pool table,
- school desk and blackboard,
- gym equipment,
- St Andrew's cross,
- sofa's,
- a bed
Small props include:-- chairs,
- an electric guitar,
- a cello,
- climbing rope,
- paddling pool
- colourful umbrella.
There is a private changing room with a large mirror surrounded by spot lights. Tea, coffee and advice from our resident professional photographer are free.

| Preston is easily accessible by both car and rail. The motorway network is only a couple of miles from the studio with the M6, M55, M61 and M65 all within easy reach. Preston Photo Studio clients use our facilities for a wide range of genres and photographic subjects - family, portraits, glamour, small products. If you can get your subject to the 3rd floor of a mill building (we have a lift!) you can photograph it here at Preston Photo Studio.
